I looked at a few more filters and decided on this one as my water source is a natural spring right on the mountainside. I have no pump or reservoir, just water flowing from Mother Earth. Some reviews say it clogs and reduces water pressure. I figured there might be something in the water clogging it, so I decided to use a filter cleaner between the water hose and the filter inlet. The experiment was a complete success! About a month after installing the filter, I noticed a drop in water pressure. The next day a trickle of water came out of the kitchen sink! I unscrewed the water supply and noticed that the filter washer is full of sentimentality. (I wasn't surprised as the spring hadn't been used in over 10 years) I cleaned the filter disc and everything was back to normal! The washing machine needed cleaning from time to time depending on rainfall and spring level, but the filter itself provided good, clean, odorless water. Good fresh cold water in the van is worth the inconvenience from time to time! I will be buying 2 more packs of filters just to have on hand.
