The first thing I should check was the remote control and the timer function. ? No timer, no remote control. This is a battery case with three settings: on/off/flashing. And the flash setting is really mean. Also, would these companies kill if they rolled up the light instead of impaling it into a tangled ball? It took me 10 minutes to carefully separate the lanterns so I could hang them. At least the brightness is good with fresh batteries and the lights are pretty. They can't be used outdoors despite having a crappy battery compartment.
