I bought this with the idea that it would appear on the screen like a regular phone screen. This turns out to be wrong. The reality is they provide a very thin strip of double sided tape that you stick the strips on at the end of the screen. It's been two months and everything seems fine so far. Data protection isn't as "privacy" as I expected. As a test, I put the Surface with the screen cover on the table at Starbucks. As I walked around the table, I could see the contents of the screen. I would like to point out that it was dark, but you could still see what was shown from a different angle.
