🔒 Enhanced Privacy with 3M Gold Privacy Filter for 23" Widescreen Monitor (GF230W9B) Review

Aside from being very expensive compared to most others, I love the look and filtering of this privacy filter. It fits my monitor perfectly. The cheaper one I bought for my second monitor had to be trimmed to fit the exact same monitor model.

Best Privacy. It's also one of the most expensive screens. I have two of these (one for a laptop, the other for another monitor). Undress when you want, dress when you want. No more prying eyes on my monitor. Ideal for use in HR or for someone dealing with sensitive data. I would buy everything again.

They fit perfectly and really offer privacy when working! And as with all 3M products, you always get quality, but you pay for it.

Very disappointed, especially for such an expensive product. The privacy aspect of this screen is amazing. However, now any light behind me is reflected off the screen. Some reviewers mention that one side is matte. that is not right. This is not a gold variant. The other side is just a black version of the gold side but still reflects just as much. Very disappointed!

I had a 17" 3M gold filter/screen protector and was very happy with it. So when I got the 23" monitor I bought the matching item for my now larger screen. These gold filters are excellent! I have pretty poor eyesight and feel like they actually make the letters and images on the screen clearer However, the wider screen is missing the "privacy" part. I bought one of these for my 17 inch monitor and I HATE it. One of my co-workers wanted one too so I bought him a 19". For some reason it works great for him! Could it be the corner of the screen? On my monitor it cast a wicked golden glow on everything but his was it clear. I have an old monitor, maybe the inclination of the glass does not allow the use of this type of screen. Anyway, he likes it and it also looks cool. Too bad I can't use it either.

We bought a lot (at least 25) of these monitor filters from our office. I recently ordered 5 of these. Compared to the ones I've had in the past, the privacy doesn't seem to be as good as it used to be. More concerned with quality. As you can see in the attached image, two layers that appear to be pressed together have come loose. I only had these two weeks. I have two monitors each with a gold privacy filter and they don't block as well as black ones but they work well enough for me. People are standing right behind me or maybe a little to the side. I can still see my screen but when I have something private I go to my left screen where no one can see; where there are black screens, you have to be right in the center of each monitor to see who has better privacy, but you also can't see unless you're right in the center and at eye level. This is by far the best privacy filter I have ever used. and I have bought many of these for our office. I almost always have very important information on the screens and the usual filters allow people to see more than I would like. The gold ones make this almost impossible unless you're sitting directly in front of the screen.
