The model number was selected for my specific computer using the 3m website tool, but the item is too small for my screen. Also, with a matte side, it's almost impossible to read the screen, which is why I chose this version. The glossy side makes it easier to read, but it's still difficult as the entire screen appears winged. The cutout at the top is also annoying. Disappointed with this product.

I only bought this to reduce glare when using my Chromebook in a brightly lit room with lots of windows or outdoors. Glare suppression works very well in bright rooms. I no longer see reflections from bright windows on the screen. It usually works fine outside. The side mounts are a joke. I ended up throwing them away and just put the filter back in place and leaned it against the screen supported by the screen hinge below. It's ok if it's not windy. Very disappointed. About 3 years ago I had the same privacy filter for my work laptop and it was perfect. I could easily see my display without prying eyes seeing what was on my screen. This privacy filter fits perfectly, but whichever side of the filter I choose (matte or glossy) there are vertical lines on it. I bought 3M filters for a company I worked for 10 years ago, they worked great and were very expensive. I didn't think of buying it for myself knowing the price was prohibitive. This is good, but not great. I have a 14 inch HP Elitebook 840 G3. Decided to use a well known brand that is also available from Revain for a few bucks cheaper instead of the Akamai privacy filter. I chose the 15.6" black filter because I wanted the filter to extend beyond the actual viewing area onto the black frame area. I had to trim it down about 17mm but now it fits perfectly.
