Purpose: I bought this privacy filter for my work laptop to limit the visibility of my screen both at work and outside the office when using it in public places. Delivery: The screen came in a typical product envelope enclosed in a padded shipping envelope so when opened it was in perfect condition. Special feature: The screen was easy to attach with the supplied adhesive strips (2 for my screen). It comes with an extra strip in case you accidentally mess it up. The screen has both anti-glare and anti-glare side so you can choose your preference. Although I chose the non-reflective side, one of the characteristics of the reflective side is that it makes it even more difficult for other people to see your screen in bright environments due to reflected objects. Side highlights don't seem to affect viewing directly (at least under fluorescent lighting conditions - I haven't tested this outdoors). Direct viewing is fine, and the privacy effects kick in as soon as you move sideways (30 degrees or so). If your system has a default brightness, the screen will appear significantly dimmer when viewed directly. Adjusting the brightness on my laptop highlighted the texts/graphics as usual without sacrificing outside privacy as mentioned above. Fit: This product fits exactly as described. I carefully attached the filter to the LCD with its adhesive strips. It covers the entire display while only the smallest edge of the LCD is visible. It's an almost perfect fit. However, I'm happy with this small space as I was able to position the screen next to the LCD frame despite my thumbs. There is a small fingertip cut-out along the top edge, giving you room to remove the filter if you need to adjust it. You can stick your fingernail behind the screen and gently pull - no need to look for thin-bladed sharp objects to pry it off. Overall I am very satisfied with this product. It is exactly as described and fully met my expectations.
