Very disappointed. About 3 years ago I had the same privacy filter for my work laptop and it was perfect. I could easily see my display without prying eyes seeing what was on my screen. This privacy filter fits perfectly, but whichever side of the filter I choose (matte or glossy) there are vertical lines on it. I suspect the lines must be related to a polarization issue as it reminds me of the effect a person can have when wearing polarized sunglasses while looking out of a window that is also polarized. I tried rotating the screen 90 degrees and the lines became horizontal. For interest, I rotated the screen 45 degrees so it balances on the corner and the lines disappear. Maybe the manufacturer misaligned the screen before cutting? In any case, the lines are so annoying that I didn't use adhesive strips to attach the privacy screen to my laptop. I can't imagine using it all the time. This is probably the first time I've returned an item purchased from Revain.
