I have had this product for a few weeks and bought it for my Samsung laptop. I travel on business every week and this was purchased to protect confidential customer information whilst working on flights. The privacy filter is easy to install, but that's where the positives of this product end. Since then I have made 3 flights. buying an item and there really is no added security from people sitting next to me. I traveled with a colleague a few days ago. I sat by the window and he sat on the island. He was about 60 years old. At an angle to my screen, he could still see what was being shown. Sitting in the middle seat next to me, he could see my screen as well as I could. I bought a similar product for my Galaxy Note 4 and it works exactly as described. The viewing cone is around 8 degrees, outside of this range the screen looks completely black. This is the same technology I was looking for on my PC, but this product didn't live up to expectations. If I still had the original packaging I would return the product for a refund. I'm not sure if there is a better product on the market but I will keep looking.
