I only bought this to reduce glare when using my Chromebook in a brightly lit room with lots of windows or outdoors. Glare suppression works very well in bright rooms. I no longer see reflections from bright windows on the screen. It usually works fine outside. The side mounts are a joke. I ended up throwing them away and just put the filter back in place and leaned it against the screen supported by the screen hinge below. It's ok if it's not windy. The next step is to make a "frame" out of a piece of double-sided tape and the remnants of a rug from a photo's frame.
