Review on BTF LIGHTING Individual Addressable 300Pixels Waterproof Seasonal Decor by George Bell

Excellent address light bar

I am very satisfied with this BTF-LIGHTING LED bar. I chose the 60px/m version because of the good combination of pixel density and stripe length and the results are excellent. The IP65 tape is manufactured in the usual way, with a transparent silicone layer on top and a high quality 3M 300LSE adhesive on the back. The ends have soldered JST-SM connectors and two extra wires for power. The LED strip looks amazing in use and the high density LEDs make the chase effect look great even up close. Colors are very good, although I've always wished for deeper magenta/purple tones from the light band. Power wires are very handy for dealing with voltage drops. At first I thought I might have a bad streak because the lights stopped about 28 inches from the end. However, it turns out that my very simple LED controller only supports 256 LEDs, so there is no data for the last 44 lamps on the strip. Worse was when I tried to use my PC motherboard's built in ARGB controller as it only illuminated about half of the bar (probably the 128 LED limit). Looks like I'll have to start researching (or building) the best LED controller to take full advantage of this strip. In general, I am completely satisfied with the BTF-LIGHTING Eco strip. If there is a difference between an eco strip and a regular one, I haven't noticed it. This LED strip is well built, very bright and has nice touches like wires to add voltage and 3M glue. Highly recommended.
