This seems like a solid product, but charging $55 for something that is little more than a 2cm magnet extension is insulting. Of course I understand how much Macbooks cost and how much money you can save if/you accidentally pull the cord very hard. But the possibility of an accident doesn't change the fact that the manufacturing cost of this device is certainly well under $5 apiece. For the record, I've owned a Macbook for almost ten years and I've never made a mistake that could justify it. Even if you thought it could help extend the life of your commonly used USB-C pot. In fact, Lightning/USB-C is such a well-designed form factor that it will easily outlast the lifespan of a Macbook.
