I've been wearing black canvas high-top sneakers since the 70's. You know exactly what brand I'm talking about. I had Keds and later Airwalks, but Chucks have been my favorite shoes for decades. And then punk rock went commercial and prices started going up, and then Nike bought them, and now they're $65 a pair. Heck, they're $22 and three times better than any pair of Chucks I've had, even pre-Nike ones. The canvas lining is amazing, eyes are good, we'll see how the bottoms hold up in the spring but so far it's ace. My last pair lasted 6 months and could have lasted longer but I've been on LSD and dropped her off that day. Still a lot longer than the airwalks I had before, they were ok but the rubber inner heel was falling apart, support inside. They cost a third of the cost of cartridges, but to hold the same amount requires three pairs of cartridges. I would buy before they are all sold out. Joey Ramone would agree.
