Comfortable and durable

I wasn't sure about these shoes at first, but these are my shoes now. They can handle the toughest of hikes, yet are soft and supportive enough to be used as a hiking shoe. You could probably walk in it too. They seem super strong. The Everrun cushion strikes a good balance between firm support and softness. I ordered two pairs of these and over time they have become more comfortable and don't break.

Pros
  • Excellent cross-country skiers. Very comfortable and durable. I ordered half a size up and they fit perfectly.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with plantar fasciitis

Super comfortable. Untenable.

It was so convenient! Too bad they just don't last. I have used my pair on 3 short trips over the summer. Just eight days of hiking, less than 100 miles in the Sierras, the foam has cracked and the cleats are coming off the sole. Super disappointed. They were more comfortable on my foot than the Peregrine 7's (which always left me with little hotspots) and I would have bought more pairs if I thought they would last longer.

Pros
  • One of the best running shoes.
Cons
  • Limited cushioning can be uncomfortable on long runs.

Good but not great - didn't meet all of my ratings.

I really wanted to love this shoe but it's the only one I love and honestly I can't wait until it wears out to try something else. The show is definitely very comfortable. Grip Excellent, ice, snow, mud, rocks, no problem. Sidewalls are cut too low for me, I like a higher floor if that makes sense. The tongue on them is practically absent, it is so deep in the shoes. Due to the low bead and tongue, these shoes are a little unstable for me on the trail (compared to my previous Salomon X-Ultras).

Pros
  • 👍
Cons
  • A break-in period may be required

Tough Mudder Ready is the best in my rating

I rode them through 9 miles of steep dirt with brutal climbs and descents. While others slipped and fell everywhere, I held on to everything. Good in mud and water. The right leg was a bit narrow for some reason, but other than that it didn't affect my performance. They have proven themselves, hence the 5 stars. We highly recommend wearing or running in them at least a week before each competition to wear them. If you're into Mudder, I recommend grabbing MudGear compression socks. Have fun…

Pros
  • Great shoes! Flexible yet durable.
Cons
  • Limited use, not suitable for all types of running.

Too narrow for my foot; wide width not available

I liked everything about this shoe except for the width which was too narrow for my foot. The shoe was overall supportive and hugged my heel and midfoot without constricting. If this shoe was offered in a wide width, I would buy it immediately. I usually wear Saucony Cohesion for road running in a size 11 and regular (medium) width, but for these trail shoes I needed a size 11.5. I tried increasing it to 12 to see if that would give me enough width. Although it gave me a little more room, it…

Pros
  • Great shoes. This was my second purchase of the same shoes. Amazing traction for running outdoors on a variety of terrain.
Cons
  • Can cause blisters or chafing if not wearing the correct socks.

Top-notch trail runners at a great price

I have 7 pairs of peregrine falcons. These are my favorite shoes. The deep and roomy toe box is perfect for long hikes, while the breathable upper and deep treads keep your feet cool while providing traction. I prefer sevens, but eights are a reasonable complement. Order at least a half size up and a full size if you are new to hiking and plan to do it regularly. Your feet get flat during the season.

Pros
  • They are lightweight and flexible, making them ideal for running on any terrain.
Cons
  • Limited color options may not appeal to all consumers.

Comfortable in my opinion.

These are my first Saucony shoes and so far they are very comfortable. I like the quality of the shoes and the choice of colors is appropriate.

Pros
  • The shoes also have a special outsole called PWRTRAC that gives the runner maximum grip on any surface.
Cons
  • Limited voice stabilization devices

Great shoes for running and hiking

I ran and went into v6. They softened the outsole a bit and added a full-length outsole to the insole. I wish they had added more protection to the toe box. Your traction is amazing. Order half a size bigger I think.

Pros
  • The shoes are made of high quality materials that offer improved durability and ensure that they last longer.
Cons
  • The lack of reflective elements may not be safe for night running.

Amazing pair of shoes

These are probably the best shoes I've ever worn. I caught them on sale and now wish I had bought 3 pairs. They have amazing grip and are snug yet comfortable on the shoe. I highly recommend this shoe.

Pros
  • The Peregrine 8 is waterproof, making it ideal for running in wet conditions.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with sensitive feet

The lining rips in a few places after 2 weeks of moderate use

I have been with Saucony for many years and this was the first time I have been disappointed with one of their products. My last pair of Sauconys were Perregrine 7s which I had for a couple of years. The upper of the 7 looks new but the shoes had to be replaced as the tread was worn. I received a pair of Perregrine 8s and after just a couple of weeks of brief use I noticed that the lining of the right boot had a half inch tear near the laces. Also, the left boot wears out in the same place, and

Pros
  • Great shoes.
Cons
  • Limited ankle support can lead to instability or injury

Great shoes for trail running.

I really like this shoe. It's light and very comfortable. This is good for soft and packed trails. For difficult rocky trails I would go for a stiffer sole. It's breathable, but the downside is that water can easily penetrate.

Pros
  • The shoe is also designed for flexibility, allowing for a natural range of motion with every step.
Cons
  • Not intended for cross-country or cross-country running

Comfortable and aggressive profile.

I bought these shoes to play grass volleyball. They have a soft rubber sole with a good grip on the lawn. They are a bit narrow for my wide feet, but have a soft upper and wear in well.

Pros
  • The shoes are easy to clean and maintain, making them ideal for people with busy schedules.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with flat feet

Excellent first: my rating

This shoe was initially great. great fit, breathability, relatively light weight, large eyelets and great support while running. But after only a few runs, no more than a dozen and no more than a few miles per run and 2 hikes on the third hike I took, most of the rubber on the sole of the shoe has come loose during the hike. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary, I just went for a normal hike and when I got back to my car the damage was there as shown in the picture above. Very very…

Pros
  • The Saucony Peregrine 8 Men's Running Shoe features a reinforced toe box that improves the durability of the shoe.
Cons
  • May require frequent cleaning and maintenance

the best diary in my review

This is my second pair of these shoes. I'm basically happy with them. I wore out the outer sock on both shoes in about a year. I run in it every day, both on the track and on the street. The shoes are comfortable.

Pros
  • Very happy with this shoe. Driven more than 50 km, everything ok.
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other running shoes on the market

Essential when hiking in the desert

I bought them for a month hiking in the Coachella Valley. They are incredible for such a rocky, boulder-covered terrain. The sticky soles on it are like suction cups on rocks. Amazing grip

Pros
  • Good product
Cons
  • Shoelaces can be untied easily or often

Ultrarunner loves Peregrine 8

I buy 1/2 size larger at Saucony. I really like Peregrine 8. Comfortable and spacious. No friction problems on long distances. Good traction in the mud. My favorite for 5K or 100 miles.

Pros
  • Extremely comfortable and light
Cons
  • Not very easy, can slow down runners

Durable and worthy

They are perfect for my nephew, he is an avid runner. The clutch does a fantastic job on all terrain except ice lol I'm really digging into the design. But all black would be nice.

Pros
  • Always great and never disappointed!
Cons
  • Lack of durability, not suitable for continuous use

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Comfortable but not durable

Very comfortable shoes, but the breathable upper is not durable at all. I have developed holes with very little wear/use.

Pros
  • Conveniently right out of the box. Sturdy protector.
Cons
  • The toe of the shoe is narrower than previous versions.

The new model is much better than the 6 series

Just got a new Peregrine 8 in great looking with 2 sets of red and gray laces. I like the muted look of grey. Excellent traction in all conditions especially snow and wet weather, they work great as always. The heel doesn't cause calluses, more cushioning than my 6's. Nice improvements!

Pros
  • The first pair of Saucony shoes. I love them for hiking. Lightweight and super comfortable. They also dry quickly.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with wide feet

Causes split legs

I bought them because I wanted to run more cross country. You have no support. So if you don't have strong and healthy legs, you'll get a shin splint when you walk with them.

Pros
  • Big Saucony fan. They fit like a dream.
Cons
  • May not be very flexible, restricting the foot's natural movement.
