Robust, reliable and versatile

Excellent build quality and aesthetics. The tread pattern is geared towards hiking and natural terrain, but is ideal for the city, although it's more noticeable in such conditions. I've had this pair for 6 months now and they feel as good now as they did on day one. I've run, walked and walked with them quite a bit during that time and you can't tell by looking at them; with clean ones they look brand new or not far off.

Pros
  • The Saucony Peregrine 8 men's running shoe can be worn in almost any weather, making it ideal for all year round.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with plantar fibromatosis

Comfortable shoes, poor build quality - upgrade service is good.

Less than a week old and the cleats/treads are separating from the bottom of the shoe. See photos. Worn literally 10 times Want to love these shoes. There are good qualities. However, this is my second pair this year. With the first pair, the upper material tore on both sides after 6 months. Now the second one didn't last a WEEK. awesome breath Unfortunately I can't recommend it and probably won't buy it again. I threw the box away so it must be a hassle to return at least. :)) Update…

Pros
  • The shoe offers excellent ankle support and ensures that the feet remain stable and secure when running.
Cons
  • Limited flexibility can lead to leg fatigue on long runs.

I liked the 7th, the 8th had to be sent back

I bought 4 pairs of 7s in total and they were fast runners. They fit great and the grip was right, the 8s didn't fit my foot. Going from a 7 to an 8 felt like owning a sports car and then trading it in for a tank!

Pros
  • The Saucony Peregrine 8 Men's Running Shoe has received great reviews from satisfied customers, confirming its quality and performance.
Cons
  • Technology can quickly become obsolete and become ineffective over time.

Another great Saucony pair.

Saucony are almost back to their normal size. I have 11.5 on Asics, 11 on Merrell and now 11.5 on Saucony (previously 12 and before that 11). I love the Everun outsole! It's so comfy and soft for my 210 lb dad body with back knees. They used a mesh upper that conforms well to the foot and is breathable. Rolling is not necessary. The tread pattern is only fairly aggressive on the Xodus and Koa ST. This shoe is lighter than both. Good for trail running and OCR, although for the latter I still…

Pros
  • The Peregrine 8 shoe offers excellent cushioning and comfort so runners can enjoy long outdoor sessions.
Cons
  • Limited foot support can lead to instability on steep terrain.

Low quality upper for serious runners.

I'm not 100% sure how many miles I ridden in these shoes before the upper eyelet on one shoe snapped and tried to snap on the other (see photo), but it can't have been more than 100. It's pretty bad compared to how many hits my Saucony Freedom ISOs have covered hundreds of miles without a whimper, and definitely unacceptable as a running shoe. This is particularly disappointing as otherwise I like the profile and overall performance of the shoe. I realize it's a few years too late for this…

Pros
  • The shoes come in multiple colors and sizes, making it easy to find a pair that suits your style.
Cons
  • May not provide enough room for toe movement

Serious durability issues

Serious durability issues for a trail runner. I've had them for about a year but I haven't overused them or had any really hard adventures in them (Covid19). Unfortunately, the upper mesh is already torn near the little finger. I had a similar issue with previous versions of this shoe, but it happened with these shoes after A LOT of running. Otherwise the shoes are in great shape, fit well and are comfortable. In any case, that's not a good price if they don't even stand up to everyday use.

Pros
  • Excellent shoes, the price can only rejoice. Runner's World gave them a great rating so you really can't go wrong.
Cons
  • May not provide enough support for people with knee or ankle problems.

Comfort and functionality - my new test report

Just wore them for 8 hours, 3.5 mile walk through the Arizona Desert Museum in Tucson. Very comfortable, glad I bought them.

Pros
  • The shoes are made in the USA, which ensures they are of the highest quality standards.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with muscle weakness in the legs

Just ok... in my opinion

I thought it would be good. While they are only some ah. They are light but rather narrow and not very comfortable. Good for a very easy hiking trail. I wouldn't run in them and don't expect them to last too long.

Pros
  • Great shoes...... but buy them on the Saucony website. Almost 50% cheaper.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with high arches

Narrower than previous models

I loved my P5s which I received just over a year ago. I actually bought a second pair at a discount. These P8's are much narrower than 5's. I'm sure they are great shoes. You look great. I'm not even sure if there will be a half size difference.

Pros
  • It has a 4mm offset that offers a natural and responsive ride, allowing the runner to run more efficiently.
Cons
  • The lack of a removable insole may not meet orthopedic requirements.

This is the best in my rating.

Since I have flat feet and need stability and comfort, this shoe is for me. I hike, run and travel on weekends. I'm a regular photographer and sometimes I need to go a little further and face difficult obstacles. It's definitely IT

Pros
  • The shoes reduce shock and pressure on the feet, allowing the runner to run longer and faster.
Cons
  • May not provide adequate support for those with foot arthritis

Good trail runner - my new rating

I ran 20 miles on a muddy and rocky trail in the rain. He persevered and did a good job. It protected my legs and walked well over mud and rocks. Also super comfortable.

Pros
  • I fit too small, otherwise the grip is excellent. You must order at least one size larger.
Cons
  • I ordered size 12, received size 11.5.

Great shoe, fits me

My work is related to Afghanistan and I brought it with me. There they survive under harsh conditions. They are so good I have 2 pairs! Love her!

Pros
  • Super delivery, great shoes
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with diabetes or other foot conditions

Comfort, great grip, good plantar support

These trail runs are amazing! I've carried my 35 lb son in my stretcher in Sedona, Arizona and the Grand Canyon and my legs feel great at the start of this challenge! On my last trip to Costa Rica, I tried several Merrill trail runners that packed my son in the same backpack bag and got plantar fasciitis from the pain. Suffice to say I love Saucony Trailrunners!

Pros
  • With this move you can run up the wall
Cons
  • Impaired shock absorption can lead to joint pain or injury

Pay for quality, not brand

These shoes surprised me at how well made they are and how comfortable they are. They are significantly better made than any shoe I've ever bought from Nike or Adidas and I won't be buying from any other manufacturer in the near future. I've been wearing them daily for 7 months and they are still comfortable and in good condition which says a lot as I really overuse my shoes. If you are tired of paying elsewhere for a well-known brand, buy this and pay for quality.

Pros
  • The shoe has a breathable upper that keeps feet cool and dry during intense training.
Cons
  • May cause irritation or redness of the legs due to the tight fit

Grippy, quick drying, comfortable

I bought these shoes to lighten my load while hiking the Appalachian Trail in Maine. I put them through the most brutal conditions a 130-mile trail has to offer. You played great. The shoes were very light, supportive, didn't blister or sweat, dried quickly after getting wet in the creeks and have lasted at least 250 miles so far (I've used them before and after the trip). They have a small hole at the crease on the ball of my right foot. Not sure if this was due to the curve or if they were…

Pros
  • Really light; really comfortable.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with pronation problems

Airy and comfortable: my rating

Fits as expected. They breathe really well and keep my feet cool. Has great traction for hiking and I took these guys on a hike. Very comfortable and light.

Pros
  • I like these shoes
Cons
  • Available in one color only

Bad design, bad profile quality

I live in Colorado and run every weekend. These shoes didn't even last a season. They were in excellent condition for about two months, after which the tread started to crack (see photo). A complete waste of money. Has worked well so far but too expensive for a shoe that starts falling apart after two months. Both shoes, same detail. You can't even delete the profile of these shoes, 6 the wrong design just fails.

Pros
  • The shoes can be used for a variety of activities including hiking, trail running and other outdoor pursuits.
Cons
  • Limited branding or logo visibility

I think narrow toe

These shoes would be great if made with an American last. The soles look good and have very good traction and are also lightweight for trail running. However, the sock was too tight and literally pinched my toes to the point of pain. If you're the kind of person who wears Danners because of the oversized toes and loose fit, they probably won't work for you.

Pros
  • The Peregrine 8 also features a padded collar and tongue that increase the comfort of the shoe, especially on long runs.
Cons
  • Limited shock absorption can cause hip or lower back pain.

So convenient: my rating

Aside from ordering half a size up, these are great shoes for walking or running. A few weeks later I ordered a second pair. Recently dressed for an MLB game, stood and walked on cement for 5 hours! To be honest I felt like I was standing on soft pillows! I'm about to order a pair for my wife.

Pros
  • The shoes are competitively priced, making them affordable for people on a budget.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with Morton's neuroma

Excellent grip, very little support

These things have great traction, but after less than 100 miles they have no support (even with arch inserts) and very little cushioning. If you like the more natural feel of every pebble, stone, root and crack they might be for you, but they are so flexible that my feet hurt every morning after wearing them. BIG stop, though!

Pros
  • The Peregrine 8 shoe offers excellent energy return, ensuring the runner gets the most out of every stride.
Cons
  • Limited cushioning can cause discomfort or injury on hard surfaces.
