The reason for the 4 stars is because this shoe used to be phenomenal. The Peregrine 6 was excellent but last year's model was terrible and this year's model is a little better. If you're new to the Saucony Peregrine, it's great for hiking and running. These are my European travel shoes because they are very comfortable for walking 10+ miles around town and perfect for hiking trails. My legs have never hurt. My only disappointment is that they changed what was once a perfect shoe.
Pros
The shoe features reflective material to make the runner visible in low light conditions, making it ideal for night runs.
Cons
Limited toe protection can lead to injury in rocky terrain.
This product was just ok. I expected more from a name like Saucony. They are quite well built and fit well. Only the mesh fabric wears out very quickly. They wear out very quickly.
Pros
The shoe also provides excellent arch support, ensuring your feet stay comfortable on long runs.
They fit great, have amazing cushioning and incredible grip. Quite light and durable. I have been using Saucony for many years. The Exodus are also fantastic with even more cushioning.
Pros
Saucony makes the best trail running shoes
Cons
The box is damaged, I like to keep shoes in the box. That's the only thing I don't like about this purchase!
I have owned this pair of shoes for two years now. During that time they have held up incredibly well (800+ miles cross country running/hiking). They are very comfortable from the start and remain so throughout your hike/run. The toe box is ideal if your feet swell and grow during activity. The shoes are a bit stiff compared to other shoes, but not uncomfortable. It's strong enough to help you on very rough terrain. I wish I had bought a second pair when they were on sale.
Pros
Peregrine 8 shoes are versatile and can be used for a variety of activities, making them ideal for people who love to be active.
Cons
Limited support for those with hammer or claw fingers.
To be honest, I've never bought a pair of shoes on the Google web that I liked.
These are good shoes and I would drive them into the ground but if I were trying them on in a shop. I would not buy these.
Pros
Good
Cons
Comfortable and grippy, but wore out in just 4 months. Too expensive for cheap running shoes.
I really love these trail walking shoes, I haven't used them on a trail hike so can't comment on that. However, they are very comfortable and have a really good grip on all surfaces.
Pros
Great shoes
Cons
Lack of arch support can cause pain or discomfort in the foot.
I run exclusively in Saucony, but these shoes are clearly not the right size. I had to order half a size smaller as they run large. I've had older Peregrines that fit great and have done hundreds of miles in them.
Pros
High quality workmanship and looks cooler than the pictures
Cons
The shoe's upper failed in less than 200 miles. Terribly depressed and disappointed.
Ideal for walking on concrete floors all day long. A bad result though as the mesh on both shoes is torn and frayed. They have very little wear and the soles still look like new. But shoes are garbage now. Disappointing
Pros
comfortable, good price and still durable
Cons
Limited sizing options, may not fit all foot shapes and sizes.
Comfortable. Fits me just right. I hope it will be great to use it outdoors so much. I'm tired of wearing shoes that don't fit me with less grip. i have big feet
It took a bit of a hike to break them in, but they didn't need it.
The second hike was 6-7 miles and my legs came home in great shape. Back, shoulders, calves are not very good, but they were raised before the trip.
These are sick af. Excellent traction, very comfortable and light. Dries very quickly when wet. If you need hiking shoes, look no further. That's all. I will buy again
Pros
That's good! Everything I've been wearing for months
Pros: Tread is durable and holds up well on all surfaces. There are no predefined flex points so it works with your feet and not just one specific foot. Depreciation just right. Not too stiff and not too flexible. Toe width comparable to Altra Lone Peak. Cons: Toe box is too long for width and hangs on rocks, roots, etc. Frustrating: Mesh upper blew out on both pinky fingers within 140 miles of use. Too fragile for all shoes. This particular design focuses on the little toes; Too bad I didn't…
Bought for the 10 mile Tough Mudder race. I tried a dozen different pairs before settling on this shoe based on the confident traction this excellent tread pattern produces. Ideal for terrain with any type of incline or decline as this crank allowed me to get through steep mud and loose gravel with amazing ease. Even running up inclines is very safe in this shoe compared to others I've tried. The tread is slightly wider than the sole of the boot, which provides more grip and prevents the boot…
I have bought these shoes 8 months since writing this review. The first photo is when I received new shoes and just picked up the others today. I would say I think they could have been made from more durable materials, as you can see I have decent wear on the shoe as well as a couple of holes and a worn through hole in the ankle area. However, it really depends on how you use the shoes and what your walking/running style is considering how much they wear down. I used them an average of 15-20…
