Our address tag is currently being dug into the ground. It is near our front door and in a shady area under a tree. I was concerned that the solar panel wouldn't get enough sunlight to charge the device, but that doesn't appear to be the case. I think we'll probably buy some kind of outdoor Velcro and attach it to the house, but the plaque itself is pretty bright and the numbers are easy to read. (I agree with someone's recommendation of driving the post into the ground and then attaching the post and fixture.) Our yard is very dark due to several huge beautiful trees and our existing house numbers are not lit which made delivery very easy makes difficult. Motorists and others to find our house in the dark. This sign should solve this problem. It was one night but so far I'm very happy with this purchase.
