So I had to buy a fan after we just moved in last month. The master bedroom, which is my hideaway, has no vents to circulate air into the room; the sun just shines there and turns my favorite hiding place into a crematorium. I'm in San Diego and it's been 111 degrees in the part of South Dakota where I've been staying for the past few weeks. I bought this fan to fit comfortably in my corner, what happens. It was well packed too. Came via USPS. The assembly wasn't difficult. You literally just screw the base onto the fan. The remote control does not contain batteries, but requires AAA batteries. Even on the highest level, it's not very loud for me. It cools my whole room at night and blows air into my dressing room. That's a very strong wind. This fan keeps me cool even on the lowest settings and the timer is great too. I like that the remote control is conveniently and directly at hand. I think it's good that there is a carrying handle for the fan and space for the remote control on the back. It blows strongly but doesn't take up much space.
