The case features an integrated screen cover and multi-layer protection. My iPad Air 2020 sits securely in place, it's our "family" iPad meaning my kids use it a lot and I feel comfortable with my kids (ages 5-10) using the tablet as long as they do there is no liquid around but i prefer to use the tablet on carpeted floors as i teach them not to put the ipad on the floor because although the case protects the ipad from all sides the screen protector is quite thin and protective probably not before that very much force. Applied directly to the screen area but is excellent for preventing scratches and dents. The built in stand is a nice addition and adults will have no problem breaking and using the rather flimsy stand, but experience has shown that a child will break it in the near future as it is simply mounted on a solid slide rail is held. two small plastic pins that can break off if too much force is used to open and lock the stand.
