I don't actually have a beard, instead I use it to trim the sides of my 'corona cut'. The device I use to cut my hair is about 3 inches wide and comes with lots of attachments for protection. It does a great job, but it can't do the fine trimming work. It works great around the ears and on the back of the neck. The dial facilitates the gradual "fading" of the hair. The blade is approximately 1.25 inches wide and comes with two guards. Great price, great features. Plugs so you need to bring your own USB adapter otherwise it's a great device.
