I bought my LG flat screen TV in 2009. My child lost the original remote control in the first year. and at least 8, the so-called universal remotes that require you to enter annoying codes to pair the remote, a couple of which didn't work!. So I decided to buy a replacement at the store. I bought a TV, they wanted $30! I was happy to get it for only $12.99! It came without batteries, without instructions. No problem! I put in 2 AAA batteries, pointed them at the TV and hit the "Done" button.
