Line noise, bleed and buzz

Review for This 4 port version "MC104 ", references 2 port as well since they all all on the same setup.I had purchased two Bear MC102 and one MC104 (4 port out). Unfortunately out of these 3 switches, only one had good audio isolation with no buzz, bleed or static. The other ones have very noticeable buzz, bleed and static. It might be bad translation, but the information slip in the box leads me to believe they know about the audio bleed and electric noise issues. That said, I can't recommend

Pros
  • Compact, sturdy, efficient design; smooth volume control; no crosstalk
Cons
  • May cause confusion when multiple devices are connected

Surprisingly hard to find device. Highly recommended buy!

I scoured the internet for a reasonably priced unit that would allow me to connect (4) 3.5mm audio cables to (1) 3.5mm sound bar. Who would've thought it would've been so difficult to find a solution for my issue - until I found this lil' guy! Extremely happy with this device's performance and build quality. A lot of other manufacturers devices I came across, users had mentioned crappy noise/feedback on the speaker when multiple devices were connected; this unit works perfectly and does not…

Pros
  • I purchased this to switch sound from 2 different laptops to the speakers on my desk. Works great.
Cons
  • Limited color options

Happy with my purchase of the MC104

Received delivery of the MC104 on the 6th. I hooked it up to my Logitech z313 2.1 speakers along with my desktop pc and a Nintendo switch and have been using those two and probably adding a second desktop to the MC104 soon. So far I’ve experienced none of the issues everyone else has had. My volume knob works flawlessly and seems to turn up and down perfectly. The two channels never bleed into each other. So I’m going to guess that my batch is part of a newer revision. I’ll keep observing and…

Pros
  • Very simple audio switcher. Easy to use. Sound is clean.
Cons
  • Possibility of audio distortion

Suits my needs perfectly and is solid quality.

I work from from home 100% of the te time as a Lead Curriculum Designer for a tech support vendor. My home office setup was designed for productivity and includes 3 desktop PCs, a Mac Mini, a NAS and an echo dot. I use each on a daily basis. I also occasionally use my laptop, tablet and phone as welI and had recently moved from Florida to Texas. My office setup had to be changed a bit and now I only one pair of Bose Desktop Speakers. This Nobsound Little Bear MC104 works great to allow me to…

Pros
  • Great, just what I needed…
Cons
  • No remote control

Works, but has noise/buzz

I was looking for something to switch the audio from my pc speakers to my gaming headset without having to unplug one and plug in the other. This works great for that, however the unit buzzes or makes one side of my headset way quieter and then to fix it you have to finagle with the unit until it sits just right and stops making noise. It's like when you have an old charger that only charges your phone at the perfect angle.

Pros
  • Surprisingly reliable. I highly recommend.
Cons
  • Only suitable for passive speakers and headphones

Perfect! Works as advertised!

I purchased the MC104 and after reading the reviews I was a bit skeptical about it. Some people mentioned problems with the volume or having to remove resisters with a soldering kit. BUUUT for me it works perfectly! I have 4 inputs from various computers, I'm not using headphones, everything just works perfectly couldn't be more happy. Seems like whatever issue people were having may have been fixed or something.

Pros
  • Smooth controls and high quality parts. Does exactly what it is supposed to do.
Cons
  • Takes up valuable desk space

Skeptical at first for my opinion

Read the reviews and removing the R5 and R6 jumper only improved when connected to amplified sources vs headphones. Outputting to headphones still is touchy with the knob (4 stars because of this). It’s workeable if your using a DAC unit with a volume controller. Adjust the volume on the little bear and leave it, do all volume adjustments on your DAC or source.I’ve connected this in various configurations and noticed no audio quality drops. I did have to throw out cables that were bad and once…

Pros
  • My friends, this product is great
Cons
  • Not suitable for high-end audio equipment

Might even be a Big Bear

Works great for switching between 3 audio output sources from my computer (earbuds, headphones, speakers) extremely well. The switching knob has a satisfying action to it.The volume knob works, but is not linear in that most of the volume increase happens in the first 20 and last 15% of the knob's travel, but still works well.Inserting the jacks into the plugs is slightly scary as they are not very well mounted, and wobble a bit when inserting or removing audio cables.

Pros
  • Works well when switching between my laptop and phones for playing music at basketball games.
Cons
  • Not suitable for large speaker setups

Does what it should, nice build quality

It's a little pricey for a passive audio device, though not much more than other stand-alone in-line volume controls or two-way switches and with this you get both, and twice the input / outputs plus a physical mute toggle. It's a bit industrial looking with just a couple of metal panels bolted to the PCB and no walls, but that works well enough for me.The build quality is great, the knobs have a great feel with knurled sides, the volume control is nice and smooth, and the input/output switch…

Pros
  • Ideal for me
Cons
  • May be prone to static interference

Works like it is supposed to

I purchased this so I could use one set of headphones between multiple audio devices. Specifically, I wanted to switch between my PC audio and the output from an iRig audio interface. In the near future I will hook up an electric piano as a third device. I had been using multiple sets of headphones attached directly to each device and wanted to simplify my setup. This device works like it is supposed to. You hook up multiple audio outs to the inputs on the Little Bear and your headphone to the…

Pros
  • Works great. I’m using 3 computers with one set of speakers. This works well.
Cons
  • May reduce sound quality

A no-nonsense audio source selector

I have three different computers that I use regularly, and it was always a pain to move my headphones around to the one I was using. With this handy device, I connect audio out from each of the 3 computers to the incoming side of the switch, and plug my headphones (or sometimes a line out cord to actual speakers) into the output side. Then I can just rotate the switch to whichever computer I need to hear the audio from. Easy peasy. My only complaint is that this device is so small and…

Pros
  • Volume a little low, had to crank up my sound system. Works great.
Cons
  • May not work with all headphones

Great little switch!

I bought this back in August 2020 and have used it every day since. The "switch" knob and Volume knob have a great feel to them when moving. The only issue I had was the "Mute", "IN/OUT" switch (red button). It was causing problems where audio would cut out on one side, sometimes left sometimes right, it is very sensitive, the slightest movement would cut the audio. I ended up finally removing that button today, soldered the connectors directly to have it in the 4 in 1 out position. Other than…

Pros
  • 6.1 x 3.58 x 1.69 inches
Cons
  • Possible cable clutter

high-quality, purpose specific piece, recommended

switching between multiple PCs or other soundsystems? it'll do that.it's a bit of an artistic piece, and has to be in a low traffic area. a spill or a step would destroy it. that said it's purpose-built and the right price and I'm expecting some good years from it.

Pros
  • Works with both Windows and Mac computers
Cons
  • No spatial audio support

It Works ! in my review

I bought this to avoid plugging & unplugging my headphones . This little gadget is easy to use . You can change from speakers to headphones with the turn of a knob . When switching to headphones it is necessary to adjust the volume upward . It was a breeze to hook-up . Definitely recommended for the tech-challenged .

Pros
  • Main function: ① select among 4 outputs (speakers / headphones); ② select among 4 inputs (audio sources)
Cons
  • Limited USB-C compatibility

Genius idea! best in my review

If you are using two or more computers and have just one sound system for them, you have to have this switcher. It's real small, easy to use and works perfectly.

Pros
  • Intuitive LED indicators show which audio source is currently active
Cons
  • Only works with analog audio

Great Mini Controller

First to address the buzzing, I have not experienced any buzzing using stereo in and stereo out. Have not tested surround, or even if this controller passes surround. They included a note which says they fixed the buzzing, from what I can tell they did.The in and out switching functionality is untested for me, I only use it as a switch between two ins. For this it is perfect, I can use the volume knob to make sure it isn't too loud when switching, and it saves me from having to plug and unplug…

Pros
  • Ideal for use in both home and professional audio setups
Cons
  • Limited audio format support

Exactly what I was looking for, would be great if it worked

Update:This adds a TON of noise, to the point where I've just unplugged it for good. I love the idea of this. Business opportunity for some manufacturer that can produce a working version of this. This ain't it unfortunately.Original review:My use case is I have a 2018 Macbook Pro, an Echo Input, and a Win10 gaming PC all going to one set of modest speakers. I thought I'd gotten a lemon at first, because if I had my laptop and PC plugged in at the same time, I got 50% white noise for those two,

Pros
  • Compatible with a wide range of audio cables and connectors
Cons
  • No auto-detection of audio device

Exactly what I was looking for

I have audio from my PC, MacBook and tablet going into this selector. The output goes to my desktop speakers with subwoofer.I'm now able to quickly choose which input is sending audio to my speakers and control the volume as well as easily mute the sound if needed. It eliminates the need to unplug the speaker audio cord from each computer/device which is super nice.I highly recommend this product if you have a need to frequently change audio input sources into one speaker system but don't want…

Pros
  • Provides a clean, interference-free signal for your audio equipment
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all operating systems

No static very impressed

I have two computers sitting on the same desk once my wife's and one belongs to me. It's definitely work for my setup I have Logitech gaming speakers and with the simple turn of the switch the audio works both for me when I'm gaming and her when she's watching YouTube no static.

Pros
  • Can be used with passive speakers and headphones
Cons
  • May require additional software installation

Great 4 in 1 audio switch.

Product works great for running 4 P.C. audio system into 1 sound system, no more plugging in and out to get audio from each P.C.

Pros
  • MC104
Cons
  • May require additional adapters
