First to address the buzzing, I have not experienced any buzzing using stereo in and stereo out. Have not tested surround, or even if this controller passes surround. They included a note which says they fixed the buzzing, from what I can tell they did.The in and out switching functionality is untested for me, I only use it as a switch between two ins. For this it is perfect, I can use the volume knob to make sure it isn't too loud when switching, and it saves me from having to plug and unplug from different devices.
