I've worn out all my "summer shoes" and needed new ones. I've never liked sandals and these looked like a good compromise. A few friends prefer Crocs; The man wears almost nothing. I thought I'd try them out. I can say I'm pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they are. However, I was concerned about their fit. I wear 12E in regular shoes and thought they might be limiting. You are not. I chose to describe the fit as "Slightly large" but that's fine as there isn't a "Better than expected" option. The toe is big and the length is ok. The leather upper makes them look less like plastic shoes even though they are plastic shoes. Based on my friends experience, I expect these shoes to last a few years.
