Recently bought a new home and the previous owners left a plain shower head in master's beautiful shower room. I knew I wanted to replace it, so I searched for the perfect shower head for a long time. I wanted rain, but the woman wanted a head massage. I found this and thought it would be a great compromise. Turns out it really is the best of both worlds! Before proceeding, however, I must point out one thing. Some reviews mentioned that this shower head is a lot cheaper at the hardware store, so of course I checked it out. There is a version like this, but the waterfall portion of this shower head is much smaller (almost 2 inches smaller). It is really important. Installation was easy. I had to use a wrench to get the old hardened head off, but once it came off I simply used a rag to clean the threads, applied some pipe seal tape and bolted it on. I actually installed it on the shower dock because I'm 6ft 3" and tired of bending over to rinse my hair. This resulted in the shower head being almost 6 inches larger than my head which is amazing! and did a test drive. It was easy to switch between the settings and each one is unique enough to customize your shower. I usually leave the "Combined" setting, but also switch to the "Pause" function. To save a little water bill while lathering. Woman often uses the massage setting and enjoys the power of the jets around her neck. The only reason to remove the star is the flow restrictor insert. I know what it's for (our tax dollars at work), but it really lets this showerhead down. I actually installed this attachment three times. First with the limiter built in, then with the limiter removed (search online for how to remove it - it's pretty easy), then with the limiter built in, but slightly modified. With normal flow, the entire body of water was so clogged that I honestly thought there was something wrong with the shower valve or the pressure of the water going into the house. It was pretty weak. After I removed and reinstalled the restrictor, the pressure was so intense that it was almost painful to stand under the water from the head of the waterfall, but damn it was effective! I ended up drilling a small hole in the plug, right in the middle, and putting it back in. This provided sufficient restraint to reduce overall pressure without significantly limiting flow rate. Once I got the hang of it, it became the perfect addition to my daily routine.
