Bought these to replace 3 of our obsolete hall lights. It was difficult to find a light large enough to cover our existing standard round boxes. They cover great and look very pretty. However, the 9W G9 6000k bulbs are too bright for a hallway. My daughter said it was like a portal to another universe and my wife said it was like hospital lights. After a visit to the hardware store for 5W 3000k bulbs, the light is much nicer and still very bright. They are easy to install, although for one person installation it would be more convenient to have a few inches of wire on the pigtails, since holding mounting the bracket with such a short wire and fitting the nuts is not the easiest part of the job. To install. Tip: Make sure you hold the tabs on the bracket far enough away from the wall or the mounting screws will not line up top/bottom as I found out when installing the first bracket as it is recessed into the wall . a bit on the existing J-Box.
