Review on Warning Industry Firefighting Emergency Security by Chris Peck

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great product but false advertising.

I believe in correct advertising 100% so I have given 1 star due to misleading claims. I expect to get what I paid for. USB memory slot, instructions or user manuals could not be found. The siren is very loud and the flash is very bright. This is a very durable unit. So buy what is. The blue wire is 12 volts DC negative and the brown wire is 12 volts DC positive. The operating voltage is 12 to 14 volts DC, not the 12 to 24 they advertise. There is no USB port on the speaker and I couldn't figure out how to remove the light ball to find any slots there. You will also need a 12 volt 30 watt DC power supply and 2, 5 amps. I used LEDWholesalers 12V Waterproof 3 Pin 30W 3207 Smart Plug LED Power Driver to power it from my phone. It activates the siren and light when it has power. You will notice a very slight delay, but this is normal. Ron Knapik managed to work with and assemble this device. First, I'm not sure about the voltage. All over the internet it says 12 to 24 volts but the tiny piece of paper that came with it says 12 to 14 volts in Japanese. I am very happy with the sound. It's very loud and the light is very bright. This is exactly what I was looking for. I don't like taking off the globe and LED lamp to get to the USB port. I plan to make a cutout in the base of the lamp, to allow USB access and plug the rectangular hole with a waterproof rubber plug. After an inquiry to the company, I received a PDF with instructions literally the next day. However, it says nothing about how exactly the globe is removed, and there is no step-by-step process for using the remote control and transferring sounds with a USB drive. Leaves a trail for trial and error. While the globe is removed by simply twisting it counter-clockwise, it's a very tight fit and I was afraid of breaking it at first. It also comes back firmly and locks into place. A small amount of high quality silicone grease helped. Aside from the lack of a better manual, I would give this device 5 stars if it had easy USB access.
