Review on Arteza Mixed Media Sketchbooks: 2-Pack, 11x14 Inches, 120 Sheets, Spiral-Bound Drawing Pads – Ideal Art Supplies for Wet and Dry Media by Lori Aguirre

Sturdy drawing paper but not ideal for layered wet materials

This is a good product but I wouldn't say it's professional quality. It's worth the money, just over .22 sheets. The paper is much thinner than regular mixed paper - I wouldn't be comfortable with it. using the technique of layered watercolor. This seems to work best with higher quality alcohol markers that don't bleed heavily - for brands like prismacolor, touchnew and ohuhu - you definitely need a buffer layer behind your drawing to prevent the ink from bleeding onto the next page(s). ) ruined. . .The paper has a smooth texture - there is a slight grain on the front, and on the back it's almost like a printer's smooth. I collect a lot of different papers and I really like these pads - no regrets here - I wouldn't go so far as to say this is a really strong mixed paper -

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
