Type of review

It is so finely detailed that you need good vision to see it, especially since they chose to use very light ink lines. It is merely roughly 6 inches by 6 inches. You need to use pencils and pens with very fine tips. You need to have hands that don't hurt to do the coloring. Crayons will not work. Oil pastels will not work. Too finely detailed. I have to do it little by little due to pain in my hands. I also have some vision problems and it is very hard for me to see the lines. This instead of…

Pros
  • The book provides an opportunity to reflect and meditate
Cons
  • Designs may be too childish for some individuals

I wanted to like these so much but…

They truly are so awful I mean for the amount of money for these mini coloring books is ridiculous. I would have returned if I thought it was worth it but…it’s not. The seller should be ashamed of themselves. The art in these books are awful. Coloring in it is awful. N I wouldn’t even gift these to someone cuz I know they’d go in the garbage because they are garbage. Never again !

Pros
  • Nice but having a hard time with the ink on pages so light. Other than that I like the designs
Cons
  • Designs are too intricate for some people

Great and compact! in my review

I love this product. It is small and compact with great unique piece LSP to color. I love the fact that the pages are one sided and the inks/markers/pens do not bleed! The colors lay perfectly. Some downsides:The lines are gray and in some parts the lines become very transparent, super light gray! This is ok, I can still see the lines.Overall, this is a great product for amazing value! I got the bundle and will have many great days of coloring! Thanks

Pros
  • The coloring book is the ideal companion for a hot cup of tea
Cons
  • May not be suitable for individuals with fine motor skill difficulties

Would recommend! on my review.

The paper is decent quality for a low cost book - much thicker than a typical cheap coloring book, but marker would bleed through. Color builds up nicely when using colored pencils (I use prisma color artist pencils) and you are able to layer colors and blend them nicely. I’ve seen several complaints about the size, but I actually really like the size of the books! They are square sheets, which is atypical for coloring books and a nice change, and they are small enough to throw into your bag…

Pros
  • Great coloring book with cool and intricate designs. Just pay attention to the size. These are NOT 8x10!
Cons
  • Only 50 pages included

Don’t get swindled like me!

I got the other Arteza Mandala coloring book as a gift and loved it SO much I ordered this one thinking yayyyy I have 72 new ones to color!Unfortunately it’s the exact same graphics inside just a different cover <sad>.The flower one does have a few pretty pictures in it, but if I had been able to see previews of the actual pages I probably would have passed on these ones.

Pros
  • The intricate designs give you a chance to focus on the task at hand
Cons
  • Limited sizes available for designs

Mandala Love! best in my review

1st: off it is small, but that is what I was looking for!2nd: I am able to use markers, my favorite to use is Sharpies. It does bleed though a bit (as in a few specs will bleed though) but the paper is thick enough that as long as you add an under layer piece of paper you will be fine.3rd: I was very surprised that the silver colored markings will still show though after using Sharpies over them.4th: its only 75 pages but that is still great for this price, I will order it again once I've gone

Pros
  • ARTZ-4154
Cons
  • Some designs may be too intricate for colored pencils to fill in adequately

Petite mandalas good for me

I didn't notice the dimensions of this coloring book before purchasing. It's small (6.4"x6.4")! If you're OK with that, the mandalas are nice. But be aware of two things: (1) you will definitely need extra-fine point coloring pens; and (2) if your eyesight is iffy, some of the outlines can be difficult to make out, as they're more gray than black.

Pros
  • Very good quality. Very worthwhile, arrived right on time. Would gladly do business with you again!😊
Cons
  • Wasn't as big as I wanted this is a mini coloring book. Cool pics tho

Great book, but. same as the old version

This is an excellent coloring book. Page quality is great. Thick enough pages that you can use pens or markers without bleed through. Lots of design variety. BUT! If you already bought the 72 page previous version, they are the EXACT SAME BOOK! I decided to keep it anyway but just know if you bought UPC 40098 71287 (old version), 10386 03738 (new version) is the exact same book.

Pros
  • Great drawings, good quality of the paper. Gray lines. Good complexity selection
Cons
  • Pages may not be thick enough to prevent bleeding

Both Mandela books are exactly the same!

I hope that review will help others from making the same mistake that I did. Several months ago I bought the book with the purple mandala on the front. It goes with me everywhere, from the front porch to waiting at the doctor's office. I have enjoyed this book so much that I decided to get another one. So I ordered the one with pastel pink and light blue on the cover. No where in the description does it say that these 2 books are identical or for that matter what is different in these two…

Poorly designed, some pages lack legibility

First, the good things about this book.Pages are easily removed and of a medium thickness. Some patterns (not many, though) are really good - clear visible lines, not cluttered, and also intriguing. Now, not so good. The book is poorly designed. Some pages contain patterns, that supposed to be printed in larger sizes. Some mandalas are so "washed out" - have very thin lines, very small print, - the thinnest marker is too thick for them. The book gives me a feeling, that somebody threw into…

Pros
  • Great coloring book. Not a 8x11. A little smaller then I wanted but good for travel
Cons
  • Limited selection of designs in the book

Nice little books printed in black ink

This is the 2nd time that I have bought "a 2 pack" of these little arteza books. I really liked the 1st set a great deal except that they were printed with an odd color of ink; it wasn't gray, and it wasn't silver: it seemed to be an odd combination of the two. It was exceedingly difficult to see. Depending upon the light, you may or may not be able to color the pictures. That being said *I really took a huge chance on ordering these. I am so happy that I did. I dont know whether or not Arteza…

Pros
  • It's the perfect gift for art lovers and hobbyists
Cons
  • Not customizable or adaptable to personal preferences

Don't like grey outlines

Would've been 5 stars but the light grey outline doesn't make the colored areas "pop". I'm on picture 2 and thinking I may not do any more from this book

Pros
  • The mandalas are an excellent tool for improving focus and concentration
Cons
  • May not be suitable for individuals with PTSD due to the repetitive nature of the designs

High Quality Paper and Designs

I bought this to take on a trip. It was great because it has a hard back allowing for coloring away from a table without the need for an additional book or clipboard. The paper was much higher quality than I was expecting. The quality of the paper allows for working the color more without damaging the current page or the page below it. This is a well thought out and executed coloring book. Highly recommend if you enjoy coloring mandalas.

Pros
  • The lightweight design makes it easy to carry in your bag or backpack
Cons
  • May not be suitable for individuals with impulse control issues

Love the size and paper quality

Love that these are small. My son likes to take them to the car and color- great alternative to being on a screen for each car ride. I’m in grad school and often use these to color while listening to lectures. Paper is thick and of good quality. I’ve bought several.

Pros
  • Lots of coloring fun
Cons
  • Product was in great condition. Pictures were too small for my skill level.

Beautiful and compact

The product is exactly as described. The ONLY thing that I don't like is that many of the pictures have really thin gray outlining, but I suppose that's a matter of preference.

Pros
  • The images are challenging enough to keep you engaged for hours
Cons
  • Overpriced for the amount of pages included

Total let down 👎 in my review

This book was one I had hoped was going to be a good one as I read that it was intricate. There's a few intricate ones in the bunch, HOWEVER, I CAN'T SEE OVER HALF THE BOOK DUE TO ITS GRAY LINES! What the heck is that about?! I love the paper and the pictures I could see, but it's going back since it's pretty useless. Two stars for the paper quality and the couple pages I could see. Pass on this one, guys.

Pros
  • The book can be a therapeutic tool for those dealing with mental health issues
Cons
  • Not environmentally friendly due to single-sided pages

I love it. good for me

This was exactly what I was looking for. The size of the pictures and the amount of detail work is great. Certain designs may invoke anxiety or stress in some people!

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons

Gorgeous designs, but with light print.

The only thing I didn't like is that the patterns are printed in a light grey rather than black. Gorgeous patterns, though, with a good variety that will keep me busy for quite a while!

Pros
  • Great for travel & good quality
Cons
  • May not be suitable for individuals with color blindness

Love the size and quality of the paper

Love all the Arteza products. Love the new coloring books and I hope they continue to make coloring books. They are very nice.

Pros
  • Art Paper
Cons
  • Some pages may be too detailed to color in within a reasonable amount of time

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Glossy texture on paper - hard to use pencils

The Paper has a glossy texture which makes colored pencils hard to use. The pencil lead doesn’t adhere to the paper and it looks kinda bad. I’m sad because the images are quite decent. I also didn’t realize they’re super small books- like travel size- when I ordered either. I should have returned them.

Pros
  • It's a creative outlet to channel stress and anxiety
Cons
  • Designs may not be as intricate or difficult as some people may prefer
