Type of review

I just wanted a set of cheap paint brushes and these seemed to have good reviews so I bought them. I'm pretty happy with them. All the ferrules are securely attached to the handles, and I haven't had any issues with hairs shedding thus far. They are pretty easy to wash; I like to hang them upside down to dry (I have a rack you are supposed to use for drying makeup brushes but some of the slots hold these just fine) to keep the ferrule in the best condition. (An alternative is to lay them flat…

Pros
  • They are brushes. Don't expect to be wowed, but they get the job done.
Cons
  • The plastic packaging is hard to open

2 years of abuse and still perfect

I bought these almost 2 years ago for my then 5 year old son and I to have some cheap brushes for art that I wouldn't be upset about if I had to throw out because of abuse or neglect. We've been using them heavily for 2 years and they're still perfect. I mean, we've left them soaking in sludgey water for DAYS when clean up got short cut for other things. I'd cycle back to them, give them a quick rinse and be amazed that they were still fine. I recently bought some much more expensive brushes to

Pros
  • Good Price for these brushes
Cons
  • The handle doesn't have a comfortable grip

Great price for a nice set of starter brushes

I like to accrue hobbies so didn't want to spend too much on watercolor brushes.BUT I had actually already bought other brushes when we were traveling in Spain which were NOT starter brushes in fact I'm not really sure what I bought now that I look at them so I needed to start fresh and these are IT! I haven't painted with them yet but there are a wide range of sizes. The Bristles line up and aren't straggly at different lengths, the handle is a beautiful blue color and smooth. I think so far…

Pros
  • Convenient
Cons
  • The brushes are too stiff, making it difficult to apply paint

Great brush especially for the price

I got these brushes along with the Erin's paints for a nice and cheap ($10 total) set for painting Warhammer miniatures. These brushes have been awesome. I'm a total novice at this but have been very pleased with how I'm able to use them. A couple of them did have a stray long hair or two that is noticeable when it's wet, so I just trimmed them off. Otherwise, awesome. I'm using water based acrylic paint and it washes out super easy.

Pros
  • Good product but make sure you clean it right away or it can get stiff and render the brush useless.
Cons
  • The bristles don't spread out evenly

Not bad for inexpensive brushes

These brushes are obviously not top of the line, but for inexpensive brushes I'm impressed. I'm not a professional artist, I'm more of a mixed media art crafter. I've been using them with watercolor and acrylic paints and they work just fine! I like the fact that they aren't long handled brushes. I would definitely buy them again.

Pros
  • Nice brushes but, I thought the bristle area would be smaller for paint by numbers
Cons
  • The brushes may not hold enough paint for some projects

`One of the brushes was broken on arrival.

One of the brushes was broken on arrival but easily repaired. I don't know if it shipped broken or was broken on route because of faulty packaging or faulty handling. Other than that the brushes were fine.

Pros
  • Range of sizes: the set includes a variety of brush sizes to accommodate any project, from fine details up to broad strokes
Cons
  • The set may not have enough brushes for group painting activities

Ok but not great on my review.

They are ok , but not great. Some stragglers on the fine pointed brushes. Guess you get what you pay for. Not totally disappointed, some brushes were fine and some we just not what I wanted in a brush.

Pros
  • Nylon Hair, Wooden Handle, chrome plated brass ferrules
Cons
  • The brushes may not be easy to clean

Good for plastic model painting

These brushes are a real bang for the buck! I bought these to brush paint my models with acrylic paints. The bristles are of ideal stiffness (in that they spring back when pushed while dry), and I was able to achieve a smooth and even finish. For what they cost, this brush is excellent in doing its job.

Pros
  • They were great
Cons
  • The colors in the bristles fade after a few washes

Nice set of all around brushes

Info model painting of all sorts and sizes using acrylic and oil paints and washes. These brushes have been great. Easy to clean and nice crips points and edges.

Pros
  • these brushes can be used for art projects, crafts, makeup, and body painting
Cons
  • The brushes may become warped after a few uses

Cheap but good for touch ups

Cheap but great for what I do. I do touch ups on shoes and it works perfect for that. The bristles are cheap so be careful with flyaways and washing them.

Pros
  • I am currently using these to live my switches on my mechanical keyboard and they work great !
Cons
  • The handles are built with cheap plastic

Great for Beginner SFX Artists

These brushes are a nice, affordable pack. I bought them to use for my special effects looks. They work great and have plenty of brushes in the package. I like the variety of brushes so I can choose which ones work best for whatever effect I'm trying to achieve. The hairs do get stained easily, but then again I am using them with latex, scab blood, cream paints, etc. They're also nice because if you need to throw them away, you can easily do it and not feel guilty since you didn't spend that…

Pros
  • Great value: the Heartybay 10Pcs Paint Brushes are a great value for the price, providing a set of high-quality brushes for an affordable cost
Cons
  • The brushes may take a long time to dry after washing

Nice brushes! best in my review

I bought these to use with some fabric paints and they get the job done! I wanted a brush that held paint well, came in a variety of sizes, and was affordable and these check all the boxes for me.

Pros
  • Smooth strokes
Cons
  • The brushes may not work well with certain acrylic paints

Love These Brushes good for me

My stepson is very artistic and was so excited when he received these. We all painted together and it was awesome to have such a wide selection to choose from depending on how thin or wide we wanted the brushes to be. I'm going to have to buy more paint and paper soon because we love them so much and to see him get so excited over something other than a video game was a very special moment for us. He is so excited to get back into painting and is going to spend less time playing video games…

Pros
  • these brushes are designed to meet the needs of professional artists and crafters
Cons
  • The brush set may be too generic for some artists

Versatile brushes!: my feedback

I use these brushes for facepaint and they work great. They do tell you not to over do it with the harsh brush cleaning otherwise they do get ugly. Some paints stain and I can't get it off but it will not mix with another if I use it.

Pros
  • H-P45
Cons
  • The bristles may bend or break easily

Good to start or to destroy - not for more serious work

If you're looking for a brush that you won't mind ruining, this is a good option. They still get the job done, but they're not super high quality. Fortunately, they're not super high in price, either, so you can be as rough on them as you want without having to worry that you're wasting a ton of money. But, if you're looking for a nice set of artist brushes, I'd keep looking and invest in something of better quality.

Pros
  • Nylon
Cons
  • The set may not be durable

Not good for small details, brushes have uneven fibers

Some of these brushes have longer fibers than the rest of the fibers if this makes sense. I had to trim a couple to get them to paint better. I know there are better brushes out there, so I would say spend the money if you want to do detail work.

Pros
  • Perfect set, great value. Would definitely recommend.
Cons
  • The paint doesn't flow smoothly on the brush

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good, but not great.

This brush set was a great buy for the price. I feel that the metal that holds the brush heads in place could have been clamped more securely and evenly, but that may just be my picky side piping in. The package was squished and crinkled in shipping and as a result a few of the brush heads were a bit misshapen, but a good use and wash fixes the problem, so not too worried there. The hairs on the brushes themselves were pretty standard and had a good feel to them but as with any lower priced…

Pros
  • the brushes are made to last, ensuring that they will be a reliable part of your art supplies for years to come
Cons
  • The set may not have a variety of brush types

Really great for the price!

For the price these are GREAT.I love these brushes. They super soft and can paint with great detail. I also love the variety the package comes in. Another positive is how easily they wash. Most of the time if there is dried paint on them I won't even have to wash with soap and water - I just have to rub it hard between my fingers and it all comes off. They rarely become caked and hard. I've never had a loose hairs with these either. Shipping was okay, not incredibly fast but not too long…

Pros
  • the brushes are perfect for small and precise details, making them ideal for intricate artwork
Cons
  • The set may not have a brush holder included

Surprising results - my new review

Got this set to use on some smaller projects I was doing, and using things like mod podge, gesso and fluid medium. I really didn't expect much for such an inexpensive set of brushed, and was pleasantly surprised that these cleaned up so nicely and none of the bristles came out while I was painting. Used them on metal, canvas, paper and cotton rag, and they worked great. The fine points are nice and sharp for those little spaces that you need to get into. Nice for the price.

Pros
  • Endless possibilities
Cons
  • The set may not work well for techniques that require a lot of pressure

Pretty Good Brushes

I needed some inexpensive brushes to work on some prosthetics for Halloween. There were different sizes to choose from and they did the job. They probably won't last very long if you need to use them over and over, maybe just a few times for some makeup work. Overall, I think they are worth the price.

Pros
  • Needed them for college. The paint on the brushes easily chips
Cons
  • The brushes are too small for larger projects
