One or two times use, tops

I bought these to paint paddles for my sorority. They are okay quality, the brush hairs do end up getting frayed and come out after a couple of uses. The paint also got stuck in between the brush and the handle when I washed them. If you're looking for a one time use, go for it, but if you want something to use regularly i'd look for better quality.

Surprisingly good! best in my review

I used them an hour after they arrived, and again later on.For facepainting: they're soft, the tiny ones work really well for detail work. For acrylic paint on stretched canvas:When I clean them in the cup of water, they take quite a bit of swishing to get the paint off (paint is still wet). They hold a lot of water, I feel like natural bristles don't stay so wet for so long. There is no wedge shaped brush unfortunately since I needed one for the painting I did tonight. But the small brushes…

Geeat brushes on a budget!

These are great brushes with a decent grip, easy to paint with using water colors and acrylic colors. Mind you, these DO NOT WORK WITH ENAMEL PAINTS. You will simply ruin it if you use oil based paints or enamel paints with this brush (Thinner or kerosene does not clean it!).Their life is average and they will get frayed if you do not dry them well or leave them in paint for a prolonged time.If you're looking for fine painting, you might want to look for something more expensive, but in the…

Pros
  • the nylon bristles are easy to clean and maintain, even after frequent use
Cons
  • The set may not have enough brushes for professional use

GREAT BRUSHES! good for me

I have been using these brushes every day since they arrived. They feel great to hold, clean up wonderfully even after I forgot to thoroughly clean them for a few days. I quick rinsed them but did not deep clean them and they washed up beautifully, held their shapes and were ready to go again. I would recommend these brushes to anyone working with acrylic, finger or tempera paints because those are the paints I have used them with.

Pros
  • Wooden
Cons
  • The set may not have enough brushes of varying lengths

Not bad for watercolor painting.

These brushes hold water well, which is great for watercolor painting. However, when I bought these brushes I was a complete novice to watercolor painting, and I am just now learning that a set of round brushes would have been more suitable for a novice - instead of a set like this that contains round and flat brushes. I also had a problem with the #8 brush. It was wobbling inside of it's casing so I tried to release it from it's crimp and re-glue to eliminate the wobble. Unfortunately the…

Pros
  • these brushes are lightweight, making them easy to handle and control while painting
Cons
  • The bristles may be too stiff initially and then become too soft after a few uses

Not so good on my review.

These brushes were bought for use with watercolor paints - as such it is imperative that the color can be rinsed out with clear water to use for different colors - did not work well at all in that regard

Pros
  • 10Pieces
Cons
  • The set may be difficult to store without proper brush holders

I know that my investment in these detail brushes wasn't huge, but I expected the package to be intact and all the brushes to be as well. Fortunately I was able to utilize another brush to touch up the paint on my frame.

Pros
  • This is not the best on the market, but if you want to start painting it is a good starting point
Cons
  • The handle grips don't feel secure when holding for long periods

Better than expected

For the price of these brushes they are pretty decent. Obviously you know you are not getting artist quality, but for our purposes they work nicely. Some cheap brushes you can tell how plastic they are. These feel like normal paintbrushes and aren't flimsy. If you don't paint much and just need something for a little project, or even for kids, these are a great option.

Pros
  • Paintbrushes
Cons
  • The set may not hold up to daily use

Paint brushes good for me

The paint brushes handle well with the acrylic paint. I will be using them for school projects with my grandson. The set may not work well for blending large areas.

Pros
  • 8 x 3.3 x 0.5 inches
Cons
  • The set may not work well for blending large areas

Nice set for painting fine lines

Nice set for painting fine lines. Only time will tell if they last, but at this price, I can afford to buy new ones when these brushes stop painting perfect lines for me. So far I haven't had any loose hairs and everything from the brush to the handle appears to be tight. I probably won't get into serious painting again until summer, but I played around with these just to test them and so far, so good! They are stiff until you use them a little bit and then they soften. I used them with…

Pros

good brushes for my opinion

I feel the star rating on most products should be good enough and you should not have to "write" a review before it will be excepted unless you wish too. this making a person write a review before a rating will be excepted is making a lot of people not want to write one at all.

Pros
  • Good for lubing keyboard switches and easy to clean after lubing.
Cons
  • The size of the brushes can be misinterpreted based on the product image

Decent Affordable Brushes

These brushes are pretty nice and the bristles seem pretty durable. Very affordable, looks nice, and feel nice. My ONLY issue with these is the blue coating on the brushes have started peeling off pretty easily. Which is pretty minor, except I like the nice glossy feel and don't really like the way non-glossed brushes feel on my hands (sensitivity issues). However, I like them enough despite this so I'll just buy another set.

Pros
  • Easy to use: the brushes are easy to use, even for beginners in the world of art
Cons
  • The brushes may have an odd smell out of the package

nice value for the cost.

These are nice for beginners. Sometimes you’ll get straight hair in the bristles and then you have to trim them off but otherwise you get what you pay for.

Great value brushes for miniature painting

I bout these 5 months ago and was thinking of writing a bad review because the number two flat brush barely lasted a few weeks. The bristles frayed and the shaft cracked and fell apart. I was needless to say rather annoyed, but partly because I liked the brush so much. The whole set is rather versatile and I find myself using every brush. The round brushes are good for painting details and all of them can do rather small ones. The flat brushes are great for painting lines (or doing something…

Decent, cheap brushes

I bought these to have some cheap brushes I didn't really care about staining when I work with alcohol ink. These are a decent set of brushes for the price. Good for beginners or someone who isn't worried about things being high quality. One big point of contention: I know that brush bristles are coated to hold their shape in packaging, but this seemed a little extreme. The coating on these brushes left big, hard chunks attached to the bristles that needed to be washed off with soap and water…

Pros
  • User-friendly
Cons
  • The brush set may not be easy for beginners to use

I like them except one thing.

I do love these brushes, for the price they are great. The reason I take off one star is because my favorite one from this set starting to peel, I'll attach a picture for it, otherwise I do enjoy them. I'm thinking about exchange it but it's probably will end up the same way so I decide to keep it this way. But honestly I won't buy this brand again because there are lots of choices out there at the same price level.

Pros
  • Convenient carrying case
Cons
  • The set may not come with a case for storage and transport

Paint peels.: my feedback

For the price these are good. But because they are wooden, after washing to clean, they are dried but some have still began to peel at the wooden part. I'm not sure why since they don't sit in water. Have been used less than 10 times and 4 of them have began peeling the paint from the wood so they become uncomfortable to hold. For a few times use they are good. Long term not so much.

Pros
  • Versatile brushes: the Heartybay 10Pcs Paint Brushes can be used for various techniques and materials such as acrylic, watercolor, Easter egg, face painting, and detail work
Cons
  • The set may not have enough bristle shapes for certain techniques

very good quality: my feedback

I am surprised at how good the quality is! I LOVE the different brush sizes they make paining soo much easier. Bristles are soft and for the most part do not shed annoying hairs like other brushes in this price range do. I trimmed one or two hairs and then it was working great. I would highly recommend this. Good quality and only around $5? It's a great deal!

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • The brushes may not work well with fine detail work

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Obviously not great quality, but they work

I love how cheap these are, I wanted to use them for general acrylic and they worked really well for texture, but not the sturdiest brushes. The smallest ones were okay for detail.

Pros
  • Great brushes
Cons
  • The bristles don't hold their shape consistently

These are "okay". Definitely an improvement over those black plastic bristle brushes you get with a set of watercolors or chip brushes, but far from artist grade. The fiber is soft and picks up and puts on acrylic color quite well. Some of brushes have uneven bristles and weren't correctly placed in the ferrule .If I was buying brushes just for myself, I would probably spend a little more and go for open stock brushes at the art store so I could feel and pick out the best of them. But I got…

  • Great gift idea
