These are "okay". Definitely an improvement over those black plastic bristle brushes you get with a set of watercolors or chip brushes, but far from artist grade.The fiber is soft and picks up and puts on acrylic color quite well. Some of brushes have uneven bristles and weren't correctly placed in the ferrule .If I was buying brushes just for myself, I would probably spend a little more and go for open stock brushes at the art store so I could feel and pick out the best of them. But I got these for my students art projects because they're a decent value and an easy pick.
