Better than Field Notes

Really happy with these. My only complaint is the texture of the cover is not as nice as some other notebooks I've used, feels unpleasantly rough on the fingers. Might soften up a bit with use, but so far my first one has held up surprisingly well to the heavy beating I give it -- in and out of my back pocket and bag several times a day, sitting on it on the train, bending the spine every which way as I'm jotting. I hate to say it but build quality is far superior to the Field Notes softcover…

Pros
  • I love this tiny little notebook. It's great with my sharpie pen.
Cons
  • The notebook does not have a back or front cover, making it less durable

Love This Brand - my new review

I purchased the larger size for my Midori Notebook and love the paper so much that I purchased this for my passport size Midori Notebook. Stupid me didn't realize that this is the same size as the leather of the Midori but about 1/2 an inch taller than the Midori refill. No problem though, metal ruler and three passes with a razor and it's the exact size as the Midori refill. I love the paper of this brand. I tend to change up pens quite a bit. I can go from standard ball point to broad tipped…

Pros
  • Perfect refill for my pocket journal
Cons
  • The paper quality is not suitable for writing with fountain pens or markers

Good quality paper: my feedback

If you can live without the decorative covers, these are a nice alternative to Field Notes. The paper takes fountain pens really well, and the dots are a nice touch. The covers aren't super durable, so if you're tucking these in your pockets, they might not last.

Pros
  • lots of pages, good quality, love the dotted lines.
Cons
  • The notebook may have excessive paper "bleed" when using certain pens or markers

nice thick cover and nice color

nice thick cover and nice color. The grid is very light, too light for me. I need good lighting to be able to use/see it which is a disapointment since I need the grid for my checklists and journaling. It is taller than the moleskin version which I don't mind but it is bigger than an index card

Pros
  • ‎5.5x3.5 Inches
Cons
  • The notebook may not be customizable enough to suit more specific taste or preferences

Price is high. Dot matrix beats lines and grid

Found much cheaper option locally after purchase. These are nice. I am converted to all dot matrix paper. Looks much cleaner for sketch and text mix

Pros
  • Just what I needed!
Cons
  • Won't work with a travelers journal. It's pocket size. I returned.

Nicely made. - my new review

Nicely made and works just fine. If I have any contructive critisims it would be slightly darker dots. Since the pages are a bit yellow (vs white) the dots can be a tad harder to see.

Pros
  • Paper
Cons
  • The notebook may not fit all pens, depending on size and shape.

Handy plain craft notebooks

I got these for a field notes journal. The dots are really subtle and the whole thing seems nicely biodegradable. I ended up giving one to my toddler for drawing practice, and he really likes it too. I only wish the cover was a bit thicker or more durable.

Pros
  • Inexpensive. Paper is slick enough to be fountain pen friendly. You’ll love it.
Cons
  • Over priced for plane paper.

I am in LOVE for my opinion

I bought the cover and pack of 3 extra inserts. Amazing quality and handmade! Exactly what I was looking for. The paper is quality and there isn't any bleeding like I've experienced with so many others. Would recommend this product to anyone looking for a convenient notebook to carry around. Fits so much in such a compact little case. I can't say enough good things about this. SO GLAD I took the plunge to buy this. I had it on my wish list for months.

Pros
  • great paper
Cons
  • The pages may rip easily, decreasing the lifespan of the notebook

32 Sheets Each best in my review

First, these notebooks are only 32 sheets each - the 96 sheets listed in the description is referencing the combined total of all 3 notebooks (I did not realize this when ordering and think that this could be more clearly stated in the description)). The notebook is staple bound and the exterior cover is made of a construction paper type material. The weight of the paper is a good quality and the dotted lines are are good weight (not too dark, not too light), however, I would prefer a margin…

Pros
  • Used these for practice bullet journals...leading up to a larger, fancier one!
Cons
  • The dots on the pages are too small or too large, making it hard to customize your writing style

Easily transportable

Handy, small, can fit in my little purse - great for sketches and idea I have. Some of the dots aren't the same as the previous page, so if you're hard core maybe go for something a little more expensive.

Pros
  • Thought they would be bigger but I will still use them
Cons
  • The binding of the notebook is not strong enough and the pages may fall out over time

Great quality for field work

The notebooks are of good quality and serve me well in the field. They are the perfect size to fit in a back pocket or a jacket pocket. They have become very useful for me whenever I need to take notes in the street. Anyone who needs a pocket-sized notebook would do well to consider purchasing these journals.

Pros
  • ‎4.9 ounces
Cons
  • The pocket size of the notebook may not suit everyone's needs as larger notebooks are more practical for some tasks

Cheap journal - blank cover for drawing on

These are simple, inexpensive journals that are not intended to be archival. They fulfill a need if one is journaling everyday, quickly making notes - convenient to have in your pocket. Paper quality is standard, bleeding occurs if permanent markers are used. Overall - good size for pocket use and you can draw on the blank cover.

Pros
  • Great inserts for September Leather's pocket size travelers notebook
Cons
  • The paper may quickly develop indentations and creases making it difficult to write on

Great small TN type inserts!

These are great quality paper and cover. I got dot matrix and find it perfect to use for drawing and for collage and writing.

Pros
  • As advertised
Cons
  • The binding may not last long enough for users who use the notebook frequently.

but I love this. Great for starting bullet journaling

I didn’t realize that they were as small as they are, but I love this. Great for starting bullet journaling That's my feedback!

Pros
  • Good as expected
Cons
  • The notebook may not lay flat when opened, making it difficult to write on some pages

Good quality notebook

Good quality notebook. Im using daily to make job notes and keep track of job status and subcontractors. Fits perfect in my pocket to keep with me all day. Only suggestion I would have would to be to round the corners to keep them from curling and make it easier to get into your pocket.

Pros
  • Perfect
Cons
  • The page size is too small to write on comfortably for some users

I was expecting bigger, but it’s really nice!

I bought the leather journal and 3 replacement dot paper notebooks for my boyfriend as a birthday gift. He likes quality things and he’s a fountain pen affectionado, so quality dot paper was important. I laughed when I opened the package because I was surprised by the size. I thought it was a standard size notebook but it was a mini "take me with you” kind of deal. I really loved he leather though and quality of it all. He loved it too, says it’s funny that it’s so small but actually it fits…

Pros
  • ‎Newestor
Cons
  • The paper quality may not be suitable for archiving or long-term storage

Good for fountain pens.

I recently ordered these as a refill for a Midori travellers notebook cover (passport size). I have found that for me, 3.5x5 inch Field Notes booklets, 3 at a time, are the ideal refill for the cover. However, Field Notes does not have a fountain pen friendly edition. Several retailers including Goulet Pens stock 3.5x5 inch Tamoe River notebooks, but these typically cost 5-6 dollars per booklet. When I received these booklets I tested them on both sides of the sheet with several different inks…

Pros
  • Great pocket notebook.
Cons
  • The notebook lacks a built-in bookmark or page marker, making it difficult to keep track of where you left off

Exactly What I was Looking for

Great price and quality paper. I like the dot grid pattern, it keeps your writing on track without looking like a school notebook. This fits inside the cover https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B071S4WWHT/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1 perfectly.

Pros
  • Overall good notebooks, I wish they were sewn instead of stapled.
Cons
  • These are super tiny! Ordered without paying much attention to the size and back they went

The perfect refills for my field journal

Good replacement notebooks. The pages are thick enough to resist bleed through from the PaperMate flair pens. The dots are the right distance for me (close) and are not too dark. These make great replacements and are better than the FieldBooks.

Pros
  • Really well done ! Love love love them!
Cons
  • The notebook is not waterproof, and water or liquids may damage the pages
