Review on πŸ”Š Portable Bluetooth Speaker Case Replacement - Khanka Hard Travel Case for JBL Flip 4 Waterproof & Flip 3 Splashproof Speakers by Greg Festa

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The best case I've found still has some flaws though.

I love my JBL Flip 3 speaker and wanted to protect it when I travel. The passive bass ports on the speaker's side seemed to be a serious weak point. This case will get the job done and keep your speaker safe. The top has room for a cable or whatever, so you can leave the accessory cable and charging cable with the speaker. The enclosure is rigid enough to protect the speaker from any reasonable pressure it might be subjected to while traveling. The interior is soft enough to protect against minor falls, but I'm not sure I would trust it for longer falls. I have two main complaints. First, the cabinet is significantly larger than the speaker in all directions. but not "big enough" to fit anything other than a cable or two on it. They could make the case a little smaller without sacrificing the ability to tuck cables inside. Second, and this is my biggest complaint, is that the speaker assembly is overly complicated. It uses a single elastic band with no Velcro or other means to release and secure. You just need to stretch the rubber band and put the speaker in there. Inserting the speaker into the case isn't too difficult, but getting it out of the case can be tricky if you try to stretch the rubber band and put your fingers through to pry the speaker out of the case. A detachable strap would have been a much better solution.

Cons
  • Makes me nervous
