Review on πŸ“Ί August DTA180 HDTV Antenna: Portable Mini Digital Aerial with Magnetic Base for Optimal TV Reception by Brian Davis

It doesn't even work well in town

I live right in Washington DC in a decent building and I was using a crappy butterfly antenna. At the same time, I can only get ABC if I send it one way, and NBC maybe if I send it another way. I was hoping that I could add this little thing and it would get me more, especially PBS, Fox and CBS, but no luck. I have some cool lg stations overseas but lost ABC and still have no other regular network. I can actually see the WJLA-ABC antenna from my apartment and look at the blinking red lights in the window above the small antenna refusing to find it. Next it was magnetized onto my entire (extended) metal window sill. Reception got a little better (NBC in and out) when he was sitting on a wooden TV stand. The CW network antenna is also about 1 mile away. Nothing. NBC and CBS are only a few miles away. If it can't pick up signals from the TV station you're actually watching and other downtown stations, it's utterly useless. The magnet idea is cool, if nothing more than a way to keep it from falling.

Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
