The format of this review suggests that I mentioned the remote control and timer function of this product but mine did not come with a remote control and has no a timer. It has a slide lever that turns it on and also flashes. Flashes very quickly. If I had to improve it, I'd slowly fade it in and out. Also, it's an adorable set of fun fall lights with pumpkins, leaves and acorns. UPDATE: I received the lights on 11/15. bought and on 18.11. put into operation. When they arrived they were packaged with the wire folded back and forth up to 4 inches and wrapped with a zip tie so I figured the wire would be pretty strong since they were packaged that way. I've had a few of these lamp sets for a few years now but they came in packaging which had them wrapped around the cylinder so there were no folds or kinks in the wire and I still have them and they work. They worked as soon as I took them out of the box and they just sat on the table untouched (minus the on/off switch) for 9 days. However, yesterday November 26th I went to grab them and just as I was lifting the battery compartment, took out the batteries and started wrapping them around the paper towel tube for storage, the only wire that was a third light from end was loose. . I put the batteries back in and only the three bulbs that were in place before the wire broke worked. I couldn't believe it so I had to go back and change my review.
