It takes a bit of digging into the mystical world of monitor specs, but any prospective buyer should know that this monitor is not 4K, but a notch lower in resolution. It's ok because I don't need true 4K for everyday and business use. And the USB-C and A/B ports are really good, so connectivity is really the highlight of this monitor. But it will be very hot. I didn't expect the LED monitor to consume energy. And just 18 months after purchase, the "white bleeding" in all four corners is so bad that I'm losing the ability to click on normal browser and operating system functions, which always appear at the very edges of any monitor's screen. Unfortunately, HP is very good at finding reasons not to honor its 3-year warranty. I bought it from Revain and HP support approved a monitor replacement (hardware issues like this can't seem to be fixed). But HP has three departments that are very supportive of warranty work, and one of them flatly denied my claim. They say the receipt for Revain isn't good. I received a copy from Ingram Micro, the actual wholesale reseller, but that wasn't enough for HP as HP doesn't give you the right to appeal if they deny a claim and in fact violates California law. Everyone admits that this is a genuine HP display and that I bought it from Revain, but their official position is that I stole this monitor. Lesson: Beware of resellers if you think you're buying from Revain. And never expect HP to honor a manufacturer's warranty.
