My cat hates hates hates the taste. I tried feeding her food - wet and dry and she avoided it and didn't eat for almost a day until I gave up. was horrified and even started hiding from me. I offered her food after giving it to her to taste and she didn't touch it. She also licked her lips to try to wash the smell off herself and probably get it out of her mouth and then ended up smelling like fish for the next few days. The tablet is huge - you can't sting a cat. And it smells VERY bad. I used scissors to pry it open and on 9/10 occasions it either shot at me or accidentally shot somewhere and the whole room smelled like it. Even the sink started smelling just from rinsing the syringe there. Scissors too, although I washed them several times after each use with soap and oil and whatever else I could think of. It's impossible to get rid of and when it splashes you can't see where to go to clean it. The first time I used it it must have gotten on my hair and I literally spent all day wondering what that horrible smell was and if I was going insane. I stopped using it after about a week. I couldn't torment my poor cat anymore. The smell is still there after a few weeks and sometimes I can smell it slightly when I use the sink. it haunts me And scissors are a lost cause. I understand there's no easy way to put fish oil, but they could at least twist the tops off a bit. Or try to spice it up somehow. My cat started throwing up more frequently after using it and sometimes she would choke like she was throwing up and nothing would come out. It doesn't seem to have helped her skin either - I think it's less itchy since I stopped using it.
