Caution! The knife might be too good!

The spine is so sharp you don't even need to use a blade. But when you do, you'll find that this knife is the best at cutting. The blades are more than adequate, a bit thicker and you have a wedge instead of a knife. The handle material is tuff polymer with small indentations around the palmar curve. For comfortable detail work, you can throttle to the very edge. Steel is just amazing. I have a couple of 12c27 knives and while I don't bludgeon my knives (personal choice) I've found the steel to be better than most in this price range. Compared to my cold-blooded Finnish wolf with aus8a (also a great blunder), aus8a broke at a point where 14c28 rolled. I personally sharpened both knives (both were sharp right out of the box) and honed the entire Scandinavian bevel to a slight camber for reference only. Speaking of sharpening, my Garberg came with a weird, rough, unsharpened Scandinavian bevel that you may have seen online. It took me 15-20 minutes to change this and then went on with my usual sharpening. It was sharp, but in order for it to work properly, the entire Scandinavian bevel had to be machined. The microbevel has been removed since I made a Scandi-Vex, so it's basically a small, half-height, bulbous, stepped blade now. A big advantage with 14c28. I've been cutting like crazy with this knife and Douglas fir for a few days and the edge is still sharp enough to make wavy cuts but gets stuck where the steel rolled after trying to get through the knot without the lath get . I would definitely buy this knife again without hesitation. I could have gotten a leather case as I have a multi mount which was cool and functional but I love leather.
