Not good for a loud car
If you have a newer quiet car that would be fine, but then you would probably integrate Bluetooth. I can't hear people well in my 2000 Rav 4 and my wife said the road noise was very noticeable. It really works and I bought 2 so I can have 1 at work and 1 in the car.
