You can't do them anymore!

Very disappointed with this product. Recorded and played back sounded good. Trouble is, he rarely did! Sometimes it was excellently recorded and reproduced. Next time it didn't work. Or he recorded it but played it back later! When using an external microphone or the built-in microphone, you must be very close to the microphone or it will be lost completely. I've been using cassette players for years with no problems and ordered this recorder via expedited shipping. Came without a protective…

I bought this player/recorder to replace a similar Radio Shack recorder that had been in service for over 20 years. The registrar was sent in a storage box without any protection whatsoever. I examined the radio and found no damage; However, I can tell right away that it was poorly made compared to the old recorder. I decided to give it a chance and started playing my tapes. Closest to the original shoe box style tape recorder
