Excellent value for money. It seems strong enough to support the camcorder in my application and mounts easily on a tripod. The only downside was that I wasn't aware that there was no way to lock the assembly in place. Basically, it's designed to be manoeuvrable, rotate, raise and lower while recording videos or photos. For my application, I need to anchor at a fixed location. There was an eyelet on the arm that I could attach a weight or strap to and that suits me. Other items I looked at had some weights or other methods of attachment, although some noted they were sold separately. The description of the item is correct, I just didn't pay attention to the details, so there's no reason to lower the rating. I've been using it for about a month now (weekdays) and it's still working as it should and I put it on and take it off every day. .
