Firstly the kit does not include all the parts specified in the instructions. Secondly, there is no point in trying to improvise with this product. The screws did not match the main body, were crooked and did not allow the overhang to lay flat against the front door. And why didn't it align properly. Because it was made in China. Every time I buy something from Amazon that's made in China, there's bound to be missing parts or misaligned screws.
