Definitely nothing special. It seems to be holding up well but it's definitely not heavy use, you can tell it's made in China, crap that will eventually fall apart after 20 uses or so if you use it like most people use soldering irons it can take a little Slightly longer but I use mine for artwork and it won't last very long, I gave it away. *** UPDATE They have great customer service so I increased my star rating and added this. They saw my review and contacted me to offer a new one or a refund (I got a refund) and they did it right away. I would definitely purchase some of their other products if they met my needs by that standard alone. So if you do light or even moderate soldering I would give this gun a shot, it will probably work for you, especially electronics.
