Review on ๐ŸŽฎ TERIOS Wireless Controllers: PS-4 Pro & Slim Compatible Play-Station 4 Game Controllers with Speaker, Headset Jack, and Rechargeable Battery (Black) by Stacey Wallace

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Medium replacement

A few preliminary notes: Have been using it for about 2 weeks - own other non-Sony controllers and many Sony PS4 controllers Now you want an honest opinion? Look no further, I'll tell you straight. If you're looking for something as good as a re-registered official PS4 controller, just buy another one, not this one. If you're looking for a controller that handles a few additional niches that are offset by a few downsides, then this is a solid choice. let me explain. Weaknesses: The L1-R1 keys aren't very secure and feel pretty loose all the time. For some games that rely heavily on pressing these keys, I worry that at some point the key press will not even be recognized and it will appear as if you didn't even press it. The analog sticks have a built in dead zone, probably to avoid stick drift issues on the official high-end DS4, takes some getting used to and often makes me feel less accurate in shooters and is often frustrating when trying to navigate menu items in a Menu select structure similar to that of Destiny. Now for the improvements: the overall feel of the controller is heavier and feels more solid, the LED pad is small and doesn't distract you while gaming, the controller buttons are concave which adds extra knobs, and the turbo mode* could * its useful in situations where you need to keep pressing a button, by simply holding the button, the controller will do it for you. The triggers are also more trigger-like compared to the DS4 triggers, which is nice. TLDR: The battery is fine (not weaker or better), overall a good replacement for the ds4 for the price you pay and the quality is as good as the ds4 with a few notable differences listed above.
