I doubt it's not Microsoft, but VERY happy!

This non-Microsoft charger made me a little nervous as I just wasn't sure if it would fit or work the same as the official Microsoft charger. But especially considering the price paid, I couldn't be happier. It works at least as well as the charger that came with my Surface Book in terms of charging options, but it actually fits the Surface Book's port better than the Microsoft version when using a display adapter on the port dp1.2 at the same time time to connect an external monitor - in fact I bought a genuine Microsoft Surface Dock/Charger to use to dock with my Surface Book a while ago considering it has 2 DisplayPort 1.2 adapter ports + Had HDMI and 4x USB 3.0 ports but doesn't keep the connection as good as this slim version so I kept losing my display, backup drive etc because it didn't stay connected all the time or nearly as good as this third party charger. Using the displayport with this charger directly on my surface book instead of using 1 of 2 on the official dock, it fits/connects much easier than Microsoft's as it has a slim design and only power. I have a Dock Surface that does not fit well in the Surface connector when the DisplayPort cable is connected directly to my Surface Book instead of through the dock. Although it's just a basic charger, I've found it to be the best option when docking my Surface to the Microsoft Surface Dock due to the fit, functionality, better/reliable connection, and more compact connector. The cable length is similar to the OEM charging cable and I haven't had any issues with a third party product. Instead of using the official Surface Dock, as the connection wasn't permanent, I now use this charger for power, a DP1.2 port on my PC for an external monitor, and then added a $15 USB 3.0 extender. /backup, wireless keyboard/mouse, etc., and it's much more reliable than trying to use the Microsoft Surface Dock. So overall I was hesitant to get this at first due to concerns about using third party hardware, but I am actually happier with this charger when connecting my Surface Book than with the Microsoft Surface Dock I previously purchased have. This is a great product, works well and solved the connectivity issues I was having with the display port on my PC because even the OEM charger (not a dock/station but the original one that came in the box) didn't fit the port was. Port with dp1.2 port connected directly to my computer. So couldn't be happier and will probably be buying another one soon to replace the OEM charger which is also having connection issues. Good quality, good price, great job for what it was made for - highly recommend!
