Visible sparks

This power cord lasted less than a month. At first the brick got very hot, some of the plastic melted and bent easily. Then the plastic melted around the wires near the laptop connector. I noticed this when I saw visible sparks coming from a partially melted power cord. Not only do I not recommend it, I actually consider it dangerous. Leaving my laptop on top of something flammable as the plastic melted and sparks erupted from the cord. it could have been a disaster.

Pros
  • Top marks for strength and durability from testers
Cons
  • Available in black only

Very similar to original production equipment

I have multiple chargers for my Surface Pro 6. (desk, bag and office). What I've learned is that you have to be careful with aftermarket chargers and boosters that the charger is designed for. Older chargers use less power, making charging newer models slower. Even affects the durability of the charger. You need to make sure your charger is rated for your specific Surface model. This accordion works great with my Surface 6 and after a few weeks of use I haven't had any issues.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • No paint required

The perfect replacement charger that won't break the bank.

I bought this cable after I lost the original charger that came with my Surface. When I looked at how much it costs to get a replacement directly from Microsoft, the price was insane. So I opted for this much cheaper version and I have to say that I am very satisfied with it. It cannot be distinguished from the original either visually or qualitatively. It also arrived quickly, so my computer didn't even have time to die until I replaced the charger. Good product!

Just like the original!

Lost mine on campus so had to buy a new one. This one is about $40 cheaper than the Microsoft brand, and I took a chance. Out of the box it looks just like the original and plugs in easily. It's charging my laptop right now and saving my life as the finals are next week. I was concerned that since I couldn't see where the LED is on the item that connects to the surface because it didn't have one, but as you can see in my picture it has an LED charge indicator when plugged in. in. One day…

Reliable replacement power supply

I bought a used Surface Pro 4 that came with a third party power supply. It was very cheaply made and broke within two weeks. In particular, the connection between the magnetic connector and the cable came loose as this connection was subjected to repeated mechanical stress. Despite Microsoft's unusual design choices, I was reluctant to purchase another third-party adapter. But based on the feedback, I decided to try the GSNOW replacement adapter. I have to say that I am very satisfied with my…

I doubt it's not Microsoft, but VERY happy!

This non-Microsoft charger made me a little nervous as I just wasn't sure if it would fit or work the same as the official Microsoft charger. But especially considering the price paid, I couldn't be happier. It works at least as well as the charger that came with my Surface Book in terms of charging options, but it actually fits the Surface Book's port better than the Microsoft version when using a display adapter on the port dp1.2 at the same time time to connect an external monitor - in fact…
