My cat loves her new tray (toilet robot?) Installation was incredibly easy - all you have to do is fill it with cat litter, add a base and plug it in his. No need to disassemble any parts, we learned that after disassembling the top tray. The top is removable for thorough cleaning. If you see a red flashing light in automatic mode, it's just a machine when you stand in front of it, it won't start the automatic shovel when my cat stays and fiddles with the front door. It cleans better than by hand, I would suggest using scented putty as we change the liner every other day and the cheaper store filled putty would start to smell a little. Problem: It goes through a cleaning cycle day and night. So if your cat poops at night and the litter is near your bedroom, you might be scared the first few times. Also, I've caught my cat playing and laying in her a few times, hopefully she'll get out of this phase soon.
