I am not very impressed with the quality control of this item. First I decided to put the legs in front of the backrest as it is easier to maneuver without the backrest attached. Two of the legs had padding clips blocking the holes which I had to remove with pliers before attaching the plastic legs. Then I go to put the back on and can't figure out why it doesn't snap and it seems like it sits high. Upon closer inspection, I notice that the metal part of the back is asymmetrical, with one side having a tongue and the other not. So I take it apart and really look at it. The tab on the left was broken. It's nowhere in the box so I'm assuming it happened at the factory and nobody found the defect. Christmas Eve, this is a gift for my daughter who really wants her own little seating area, so I found the right size screwdriver that fits under the edge of the mounting metal bit and used it to pry open. just enough to take the bottom and latch. I shouldn't have done this, but since I'm not going to disappoint my little girl, I'm going to make the best of the situation. What I won't do is remain silent about the quality issues I've found. So buy this item with caution.
