I don't know what Chinese stuff these are, but it smells. Pungent smell, same smell as the FAUCET I ordered two years ago. (Eventually that smell went away, thank goodness). But the bedspread smells: today I washed it twice, with lemon juice, detergent, soda, oxyclin - they still exist, but weaker. That's the smell that irritates my nose and eyes. Besides, it's a beautiful blanket; Well made, lightweight and will soften over time. I like the colors and the pattern: don't marry! I'll keep it - I know the smell will eventually go away, as will the faucet. EDIT a few days later: I'm considering sending it back. Two washes with everything on the laundry rack and a tumble dryer and it still smells horribly bad. It smells like deadly chemicals are embedded in the fibers.
