My grand daughter loves flashing lights and that's what attracted me to this toy. However, there's so much more than flashing lights to make this fun -- the moving gears, the push buttons, the writing board, the music, etc. I was afraid her fingers could be crushed in the moving gears, but when she stuck her fingers in, the gears stopped and no harm was done. I bought these for my son and he loves them. I love that they held up to several trips to the beach, the lake, a couple rivers, 3 creeks, 4 swimming pools and just hanging out outside. I recently bought this to hold my 13in macbook pro (11.97W x 8.36D) under my desk. When I finished assembling the product, my Macbook did not properly fit in the basket as the product dimensions listed do not reflect the usable space. The 13.4"W listed results in less than 11.5"W of actual usable space. Will be returning.
